Sean Kelly

My Thoughts on Devil

After the combination the Toronto Film Festival and my trip to Calgary, I had a bit of a backlog of movies I wanted to see.  As such, this week I decided to see the three-week old Devil, instead of one of the newer releases.

For this film M Night Shyamalan moves into the producer's seat, as he releases the first chapter of The Night Chronicles (which is essentially Shyamalan handing off unproduced story ideas to up and coming directors).

This film deals with five strangers, who end up stuck on an elevator, with one of them being the Devil in disguise.

If I have to say, this is one of the better films to come it with Shyamalan's name on it and it could probably be ranked among the better films that he directed.  I enjoyed it.

About Sean Kelly -

Sean Patrick Kelly is a self-described ├╝ber-geek, who has been an avid film lover for all his life. He graduated from York University in 2010 with an honours B.A. in Cinema and Media Studies and he likes to believe he knows what he’s talking about when he writes about film (despite occasionally going on pointless rants).
