This film won Colin Firth the Best Actor award at the Venice Film Festival, so I was curious to see this film as far back as TIFF.
The film follows a homosexual English professor, who is struggling to get over the death of his longtime partner.
Firth's performance is definitely the most notable thing about this film, which I though was a standard drama. I did like an interesting touch to the film in how the colour palette of the film would become brighter or faded based of Firth's mood.
Overall it was a decent film and I wouldn't be surprised if Firth gets a Oscar nomination.

My Top Ten Films of the Decade: #4 Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
This arguably the best work by both director Michel Gondry and screenwriter Charlie Kaufman. The film also features one of Jim Carrey's best performances.
This is a unique type of romance film, since it follows the romance starting with the break-up and moves backwards (as the memories of it are being erased). The film is at once surreal and touching.
This is definitely one of my all-time favourites. Read More......
