This week's Classic Thoughts is a little later, since I just finished watching the movie, which I just purchased on DVD, a few minutes ago.
This film is considered one of the all-time classic Vietnam War films and I did think that it was very good. I was probably most impressed by Willem Dafoe's character.
I was actually surprised about how many actors appeared in this film. I was aware of the main actors, but the supporting cast is made up of people who are quite well known now (such as Forest Whitaker and Johnny Depp).
Overall it was an excellent war film and I can see why it won best picture when it was released.
