News: (500) Days of Summer director to remake Jesus Christ Superstar?

It appears that Universal is in talk with Marc Webb, director of (500) Days of Summer, to direct a new modern adaptation of Andew Llyod Webber and Tim Rice’s 1972 Broadway musical Jesus Christ Superstar.

The film had a previous 1973 film adaptation directed by Norman Jewison.
