After a break for the holidays, the daily columns return.
This week's top film marks the film time in a while that an older release tops the box office. Gran Torino, which went wide last weekend in its fifth week, was the top film with an estimated gross of $29M. Bride Wars opened in second place with an estimated $21.5M and the horror film The Unborn opened in third with and estimated $21.1M.
Last week's top film, Marley and Me, dropped to forth place with an estimated gross of $11.4M.
And that's the box office thoughts for this week.
